MISSION STATEMENT, STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES & VISION STATEMENT 

Mission Statement:

The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce, a membership-based association of individuals, employers, organizations and other business entities, meets the needs of our members to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life in Clovis and Curry County.

The mission statement will be realized by the following strategic objectives:

1. Ensure our members are the priority.
2. Stimulate a vibrant economy through a results-oriented, county-wide organization. 
3. Strengthen existing strategic partnerships.
4. Conduct periodic evaluations to measure our success.
 

Vision Statement:

Recognized nationally as a progressive organization, the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce has secured the office, technology, equipment and the highly qualified staff necessary to influence a strong growing Clovis/Curry County economy, infrastructure and quality of life.

The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce, through a large, enthusiastic membership and volunteer participation will champion the goals of the 2017-2018 Strategic Plan.


To work with the community to facilitate the following strategies: 

Business & Industry

Create an environment that is conducive to the economic vitality of business and industry by focusing on business retention, expansion and recruitment efforts.

Education

Support area educational institutions and programs in providing quality learning experiences and opportunities

Health Care

Promote the health care community to facilitate the continuing development of a regional health care system that provides a comprehensive range of services and access to care.

Agriculture

Cultivate an awareness of agriculture’s vital role in our economic success and environmental issues.

Cannon Air Force Base

Advance community relations between Cannon Air Force Base and the community.

Tourism and Special Events

Organize and promote special events that enhance the development of tourism and quality of life in Clovis and Curry County.

Community Organizations

Encourage the efforts of community organizations which work to meet the needs of our citizens. 

Strategic Partnerships

Strengthen and seek strategic partnerships to include the following: 

Clovis Industrial Development Corporation, City of Clovis, Curry County, Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis Community College, Clovis MainStreet, Clovis Municipal Schools and Clovis Christian Schools.

2018 Action Plan

Priority:  Membership

To enhance services, recruitment and retention of our chamber members. To promote Chamber members by featuring individuals, employers, organizations, and other business entities.  Promote the Chamber and members to ensure new and existing members can identify membership benefits

Priority:  Cannon Air Force Base

To continue to support the success of the missions at Cannon Air Force Base through the efforts of the chamber's military affairs committee, Committee of Fifty

Priority:  Business Enterprise Center

To promote the Business Enterprise Center by marketing the Welcome & Visitors Center, Rock & Roll Museum and Business Incubator in cooperation with Clovis Industrial Development Corporation

Priority:  Economic Development

To partner with Clovis Industrial Development Corporation to ensure the success of their efforts to recruit industry and implement strategies for job creation in Clovis and Curry County            

Priority:  Clovis Civic Center

To partner with Spectra to ensure the success of the Clovis Civic Center and the Curry County Events Center by providing marketing support

Priority:  Tourism Promotion

To increase tourism by supporting special events and recruiting corporate sponsorships as approved by the Chamber Board of Directors

Priority:  Pro-business Legislation

To promote pro-business policies with local, county, state, and federal government entities to foster a favorable business climate in Clovis and Curry County.  To engage in the policy process and inform our members of the latest legislative developments that affect business
